Privacy Policy

WorldTimeWise is a utility site. We built it so you can check a time, convert a zone, or run a calculation without handing over anything about yourself. This policy describes, in plain terms, what we collect and what we don't.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so we have no usernames, passwords, or profiles.
  • No personal data stored on our servers. The site is a set of static pages. When you use a tool, the calculation happens in your browser on your device; the inputs you type (dates, cities, times) are never sent to us or to any third party.
  • No analytics or tracking scripts. We run no Google Analytics, no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts that observe your behaviour. Nothing on this site reports back to us about which pages you visit.
  • No location access. We never ask your browser for your geolocation. Where a sensible default is needed (for example, a "your time zone" starting point), it is derived from your browser's own time zone setting, which is already visible to any website and is not sent anywhere.
  • No cookies for tracking. We set no tracking cookies.

The one thing stored on your device

Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's localStorage (key `wtw-theme`) so the site remembers your choice between visits. That's it. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Logs we can't avoid

Like virtually every website, ours is served through a hosting provider and a content delivery network, which necessarily see technical connection details (such as IP addresses) in the course of delivering pages. We don't configure, access, or analyse these logs for visitor behaviour.

Children

The site has no age gate because there is nothing to sign up for and nothing personal is collected. It is suitable for general use.

Changes

If this policy ever changes — for example, if we add analytics — we will update this page and note the change with a date. The current version is dated October 2026.
